Threats by Mexico

Vicente Fox is apoplectic about a proposal by the United States to wall off part of the border. He has called it shameful, and has vowed to fight with all means at his disposal.

Here is the kicker:

MEXICO CITY - The Mexican government, angered by a U.S. proposal to extend a wall along the border to keep out migrants, pledged Tuesday to block the plan and organize an international campaign against it. Facing a growing tide of anti-immigrant sentiment north of the border, the Mexican government has taken out ads urging Mexican workers to denounce rights violations in the United States. It also is hiring an American public relations firm to improve its image and counter growing U.S. concerns about immigration.

"Mexico is not going to bear, it is not going to permit, and it will not allow a stupid thing like this wall," Derbez said.``

So, MEXICO is not going to permit it? They are going to bring trumped up charges of human rights violations against us at the U.N.? Who the hell do they think they are?

Essentially, Fox is demanding the right to violate our national sovereignty. He wants to play hardball. Fine. Mexico owes us a massive amount of money which the United States taxpayer has graciously loaned them. If Fox wants to play this game, perhaps the time has come to call our loan. He is using American money to finance a smear campaign against us-why shouldn`t we demand payment?

It`s time to get tough with this clown. His policy of blatant violation of U.S. immigration law is not a friendly act, and should be dealt with harshly. He is, essentially, encouraging an invasion of America, and he demands the right to do so. He thinks he can strong arm us. It`s time we pushed back, and hard.

This is not a difficult issue; it is only difficult when one fails to address it. How does a nation enforce any of it`s laws? Illegal aliens should be arrested if caught and repatriated back to Mexico after an unpleasant period of detention. They should forfeit any money they have earned here. They should be incarcerated for long periods for second offenses. We should increase border patrols, and shoot if necessary. Any American who aids or abets illegal immigration should be prosecuted to the fullest extend of the law. It needs to be made unprofitable.

Why do Mexicans come here illegally? Because they stand to profit from this country. Many Americans stand to profit from them. It`s a simple matter, really. We, in our kindness, have made it so easy to sneak over, so easy to live and work here while breaking the law, that the poor Mexican peasant has nothing to lose. It is too easy. President Bush finds this situation so difficult because he doesn`t want to be hard on the poor. That is a noble belief, but these particular poor are breaking our laws, as are their American patrons and the Mexican government. If we are a nation under the Rule of Law, then we cannot simply ignore this. There must be consequences to this open defiance of the Rule of Law. If this is unpleasant to the lawbreakers and Vicente Fox, that is unfortunate. They are, after all, the ones committing the crime.

Build the fence - build it high! Mexicans are welcome here, always have been, if they come legally. They have no right to break our laws.

The President and this joke of a Republican congress are failing us - and making us more insecure by their inaction!

I think the wall will get built right after the next terrorist attack. Yanno like closing the barn door after the horse gets out. BTW I am on msn not AOL anymore. They messed up the message boards once too often and that was enough for me. Alnot54@msn.com is where I can be contacted now.

If the United States builds a wall on United States land, Mexico has no say-so.

As to what Derbez says is stupid, letting illegals in by the millions is what is STUPID.

If it takes a wall to stop this invasion, so be it.
