Punishment Should Fit the Crime

A circuit judge in Milwaukee has thrown out a plea agreement to keep Democrat election sabateurs out of jail. These sabateurs, the children of high ranking Democrats, slashed tires and engaged in other destructive acts to prevent Republican voters from getting to the polls. Thanks to Judge Michael Brennan they will be going where they belong-to jail!

For a nation that prides itself on Democracy and the Rule of Law, America has a terribly cavalier attitude towards vote fraud. Democrat political machines in places like Chicago and New Orleans have elevated vote fraud to an art form, and people just snicker at the adage ``vote early, vote often``.

Here in St. Louis we regularly have serious vote fraud (in the `04 elections we had a deceased President of the Board of Alderman cast a ballot, among other dead or missing people) and there is always an investigation after the election to determine ``what happened``. This investigation always fizzles out and then reopens after the next election. The reason is simple; St. Louis is controlled by a Democrat Party machine, and they control the City so thoroughly (with the complicity of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and other media) that they can act with impunity. (Why else would the Bill Clay dynasty remain?)

The fact is, vote fraud and manipulation strike at the very heart of our system. This is an attempt to thwart the will of the people, and the stakes in any election are high. It`s time we took this seriously.

The ancient Greeks used capital punishment to deal with this problem, and I can`t say I blame them; direct democracy requires integrity at the polls. America, on the other hand, laughs at vote fraud. It`s time to get tough. Perhaps a denial of citizenship should be employed against those guilty of vote fraud or intimidation. Maybe we could swap those guilty of this crime for a willing Mexican immigrant, expatriating the criminal?

Putting these punks in the slammer is a good start, anyway!

My family were staunch Democratics for decades until they at last got wise.

The Democratic party was the party of slavery and Jim Crow for many decades until the 1960s when they re-made their image as "liberals" when historically they never were. (Can a leopard change his spots?)

But that was only marketing technique--"liberal" Democratic policies have done nothing but lower the standards everywhere on everything to make voters think they are getting something when they really aren't. Meanwhile, the black communities, which struggled against Democratic party oppression before the 1960s and yet were once stable communities, now must deal with their welfare co-dependencies, gang-ridden, drug-infested devastated communities after unwisely buying into the delusion that the Democratic party was their friend.

Frederick Douglas told his people never to vote Democratic, but in time, they forgot his advice.

In this time, the working class/farm white communities also changed from the working class to the meth-head welfare poor. The old Confederate/Democratic mentality has a plantation attitude towards the poor white as well--everyone (black and certain white) must stay in his "place"--that means stays uneducated and unemployed and easy to manipulate.

The Democratic party in our town and in the state generally have done little but plunder and pillage and defraud. Then, when all is destroyed beyond repair, the Dems adds insult to injury by encouraging the culture of victimhood where the "victim" is told he's helpless until the Dems are re-elected as his savior.

Except for the unfortunate linking of "Confederate" to "Democrat," Scribe makes a -- no, several good points.
Even today, the same Democrats who supported the aggressive invasion of Iraq are now posturing as some kind of "peace" advocates, are pretending they were and are horrified at the Bush policies in which they had been co-conspirators.
Equally horrified observers suddenly see all kinds of election shenanigans by Republicans -- the kinds of corrupt practices routinely practiced by Democrats for generations, the Democrats who controlled the bought and paid-for precincts of, for example, New York, Detroit, Baltimore, and Chattanooga.
"Corruption" and "Democrat" have, at least for all of my life, been practically synonymous.
Oh, and racism?
The Democrat Party has both Ku Kluxer Robert Byrd of West Virginia and Cynthia McKinney of Georgia.
The Democrats parlay "race" into an issue where no honest person sees even an inkling of race or racism.
They are really good at successfully demagoguing; Republicans, learning to be equally corrupt, haven't yet learned successful demagoguing.
Another good message, Tim and Scribe.

Michael--

The reason why I linked Confederate with Democrat is because the Confederates were all Democrats. In my state, even today, the political make-up of each county is based on what side that county was on during the Civil War. Republican counties were for the Union, Democrat counties were Confederate. This remains so even today.

Amen Tim. I favor the death penalty and trading in for a 'good' citizen when vote fraud is done. I lived in West Virginia and the southrons were all democrats. Trying to pass themselves off as the friends of black take some nerve and gall. Unfortunately they have been all too sucessful with the ignorant.
