Tricks or Treason

J.R. Dunn elaborates on the Haditha strategy whereby our friendly neighborhood terrorists stage false accusations of atrocities for a happy American media.

This whole Haditha business wearies me; I knew it was going to come eventually, since the Left has been unable to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in Iraq. This is a dirty war, and there are going to be instances where the lines between civilian and Der Feind (the Enemy) are blurred. We didn`t set the terms of the war-the enemy did. We are forced to fight an enemy who hides behind women and children, and we are forced to take casualties to avoid hurting non-combatants. Sooner or later we were bound to hit some civilians, and the Media would have the ``Mai Lai`` they have been hoping would come. Frankly, the whole business disgusts me.

I`m not sure how we can win a war where we have to fight the American press and Democrat Party as well as the enemy.
